My Role:
Graphic Designer
Overview:
I've been providing graphic design services for the the City of Ocoee since 2008. This small, friendly city has been on a steady growth pattern, and I enjoy seeing the development projects highlighted in their communications pieces I work on.
Joy P. Wright, the Community Relations Manager, has trusted me with designs for 11 years of events and programs such as Hispanic Heritage Festivals, 5K's, Holiday Tree Events, Martin Luther King, Jr. Parades, just to name a few.
I'm showing a tiny sampling of designs for Ocoee here. A majority of my design work is for print, including flyers, posters, signs, mailers, custom calendars, and brochures, just to name a few.
My Role:
Project Management
Community Workshop Event Support
Layout Designer
Overview:
Cape Canaveral awarded its rebranding initiative to Prismatic. I was on the team to be at the forefront of helping the community define itself. Although the cape was well-known already because of its connection to the space program, city officials wanted to make sure people outside the area know what the community had to offer.
Local government community input is one of my favorite kind of projects to work on. My project management responsibilities included maintaining their photo contest and the assets that came from them, coordinating with the video producer hired to make a sizzle reel of our findings and filling in the client's service gaps when needed.
I switched roles to events support when it was all hands on deck at the community branding workshop. The crowd was comfortable and excited to participate in the local brewery there. "My Cape Can" was the theme of the crowdsourcing efforts.
During the project, I did layout design from an already established "My Cape Can" microbrand. This included print and digital assets supporting the project.
Attendees at the workshop stayed engaged by playing "words about our Cape beach ball" indoors and filling out profile workshops. Participants were asked to fill in the blank with what their cape can do.
All visuals were created by Prismatic.

Overview:
Seminole County Schools Dining services was looking for someone to create a brand to tell a new story about school lunches. I won the bid to be the sole creator of this new brand. I designed the website and brought in a contract employee to code and work with the clients IT department to maintain the site.
Graphics were designed to cater to the different age groups of elementary, middle and high schools as well as internal employees and parents.
Their Story:
The food is better, and the standards are higher. The Dining Services department runs like a business. A new brand was needed to show parents they were more than hair nets and frozen bags of peas. They were more than cartons of milk and pizza day. A brand was built showcasing their “big business” ideas of not only serving the best and freshest ingredients but having more to offer parents, staff, and visitors by adding a catering component and a bistro where more sophisticated food would be served.
My Role:

Created a Library of Digital Assets for Social Media and Presentations

Overview:
The Florida Chapter of the Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc.'s mission is to provide leadership in floodplain management to reduce risk and loss caused by a flood.
From the time I met this group of "floodies" in 2015, they have been pushing the envelope with their branding and communications. This group is passionate about the work they do to mitigate damage and risk to Florida home and business owners. They are also a little quirky and fun, which made this rebranding project a breeze.
Their Story:
Cece McKiernan, CFM the Executive Director wanted to show their annual report in an attractive, easy to digest way. We decided that a one-sheet bifold infographic is what they needed. This annual report in 2016, was included with a toolset of communications and they won an award for it. The Association of State Flood Plain Managers (ASFPM) named FFMA the National Chapter of the Year.
After the project was so well received, they were ready to trust me with an official rebrand. I did a full overhaul for FFMA in 2016, and they've been adding great designs to their communication arsenal ever since.
My Role:
Project Vision and Mapping
Production Design
Streamlining Communications with Template Solutions
Client Services and Coordination
Overview:
During my time at Prismatic, they were entrusted to rebrand the District of Columbia's Housing Authority. I was brought in as the project manager because of my years of experience in local government.
When the project scope was identified, my two focus areas became streamlining communications with template solutions and client services and coordination.
After Prismatic created the brand guidelines, I was able to get to work with production design and create brochures, informative postcards, and a monthly self-mailing newsletter.
